Amazing food...

I will tell people to take their business somewhere else because these people just want their money and try to rip you off. The venue is beautiful and the food is amazing but the owners and staff do not go out of their way to make your day special.

The restaurant offers menu items from their lunch menu Tuesdays 10 a.m. to 2 pm; breakfast and lunch 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday to Friday; a dinner buffet and menu items on Fridays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.; and a Sunday Brunch Buffet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Countryside Bistro is located 3.5 miles north of State Route A on State Route H. You can also get to the restaurant from the north by taking State Route V west out of Maryville, MO to State Route H and turning south for a few miles. Contrary to the map showing on Google maps, the restaurant is not accessible from Fairway Rd. The restaurant address is 33618 Highway H, Skidmore, MO 64487, not Hwy V as shown.

The Countryside Bistro is also available for catered events and provides catering services to businesses and groups, reunions, and other events in surrounding communities.

The buffets may include any combination of the following and may vary from time to time: pork ribs, boneless catfish fillets, ham balls, Rocky Mountain oysters, fried chicken, potatoes, varied vegetable sides, a variety of pasta and dessert salads, homemade cinnamon rolls, bread pudding, and miscellaneous dessert items.

Had a wedding and reception at the countryside bistro and ran into several issues with the staff. We had the check in three times months before the wedding with the owner and every time he acted like he had never talked to us, so we had to go over every detail every time. He quoted us a price for food, venue and chairs, the night of the wedding there were several extra charges like "glassware $300" "tablecloths $275" "gratuity $217" "bartender $60", none of these were told to us ahead of time, then when I complained he acted like he was doing us a favor to take some of the charges off. The staff acted like we inconvenienced them when we asked for anything. During the reception because it was so hot in the building our infant son had to leave due to overheating causing him to vomit. The thermostat was at 85 degrees and when asked to turn it down the staff just said " It's hot outside, it's going to be hot in here," but when voices were raised they finally turned it down.
